Professional’s Choice Sports Medicine Products, Inc. has announced the promotion of Monty Crist of San Diego, California to General Manager of the manufacturing company effective August 4th, 2008.

Crist, a veteran at Professional’s Choice, will oversee the daily operations as well as the expansion of the equine products manufacturing powerhouse.

Crist, having headed up the Professional’s Choice sales and marketing team for over twenty years, was the obvious choice for the position. Crist first started with Professional’s Choice in 1987 in the sales division promoting the Original Sports Medicine Boots at retail market trade shows. From there he worked his way up through the company ranks in marketing and product development. “After 21 years with the company, it is our belief that no one is better equipped to take on the responsibility of this senior management position than Monty,” said Professional’s Choice owner and president, Dal Scott, “No one knows our industry, our culture or our business better.”

Crist is also an accomplished team roper and horseman and having spent the past twenty plus years working and competing in the equine industry, he has solid inside knowledge as well as solid professional experience. He will continue to drive the product development division of the company and work with the Team PC Advisory Board of prominent horsemen and women such as Bob Avila, John Lyons, Charmayne James and Lynn Palm to continue to deliver innovative products to the public with the health and welfare of the horse in mind.
