Bob Avila Private Collection #14. This beautiful spade bit is a replica of a spade in Bob & Dana’s Private Collection that was originally made by the incomparable Mike Mac Dowell for Felix Guitron Jr.  Upon Felix’s passing the bit was passed down to his brother Benny Guitron. Felix was a very influential mentor to Bob’s wife Dana and when Benny learned how much Felix meant to Dana he gifted her with the bit. Needless to say it is not only a gorgeous piece of work it is very sentimental to the Avila’s.
