Job Title: Content Marketing Specialist

Position Overview

We’re looking for a strategic and creatively driven Content Manager to lead and grow our brand’s digital presence. This role combines leadership, content strategy, and execution. The Content Manager will oversee Freelance content creators, create general content personally, manage social media output, guide event coverage strategy, and ensure brand alignment across all visual and written content. If you’re an equal parts team leader, creative storyteller, and digital strategist, this position is for you. 

Essential Job Functions

  • Content Strategy & Creation:

    • Develop and manage a Monthly content calendar that includes brand storytelling, product education, and general engagement content (e.g., Reels, carousels, tutorials, brand vibe pieces).
    • Produce original content (photos, video, copy) and oversee Free Lance workflows.
    • Ensure all content aligns with brand tone, audience expectations, and current trends.
    • Write compelling copy and captions across platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn).
    • Work close with Sales Calendar to mirror company direction. 

 

  • Freelance Creator Management:
    • Build and oversee a network of freelance creators within the equestrian and western industries.
    • Propose freelance budgets and assign creators to key events in our industry.
    • Provide creative direction and ensure timely delivery of high-quality, brand-aligned content from freelancers.

 

  • Team Leadership: 

    • Supervise social media staff, providing creative guidance and setting performance expectations.
    • Lead coordination between internal marketing, sales, and product development teams to ensure campaign alignment.
    • Provide mentorship and feedback to junior team members, freelancers, and interns where applicable.
    • Supervise and motivate a team of sewing operators, assigning tasks, providing training, and evaluating performance.

 

  • Event & Endorsement Program Oversight: 
    • Plan and coordinate coverage for 10+ major events annually, including on-site content capture, social posting, and brand presence management.
    • Support setup, breakdown, and staffing at select event booths.
    • Collaborate with the Social Media Coordinator to schedule and optimize real-time event content.
    • Manage endorsee budgets, product orders, and contract fulfillment.
    • Work cross-functionally to integrate endorsers into product and promotional campaigns.

 

  • Sponsorship & Brand Activation Support: 
    • Assist in sponsorship activation strategies, helping transform sponsorships into storytelling and engagement opportunities.
    • Coordinate with internal teams and partners to maximize brand visibility at sponsored events or through partner collaborations.

 

  • Photoshoot & Production Management: 
    • Lead logistics for branded content shoots including product selection, location planning, and talent coordination.
    • Track shoot budgets and ensure timely delivery of creative assets.

 

  •  Requirements:
    • 3+ years of experience in content creation, social media strategy, or digital marketing.
    • Proven leadership or team management experience.
    • Strong visual and editorial skills (portfolio required).
    • Proficiency in photo/video capture and editing tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Premiere Pro, Cap Cut, etc.).
    • Experience managing freelance creators or contractors.
    • Deep understanding of social platform algorithms, formats, and trends.
    • Familiarity with influencer or endorsement programs and event marketing.
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple moving parts.
    • Horse knowledge a must.

 

  • Physical Requirements:
    • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
