James Alliston - Journey to Rolex 2015 #RoadtoRolex
Parker was my first horse I bought in America, and while the first day of competition may not be his favorite, he has proved himself to be a great jumper at the top level of the sport, and I look forward to many more rounds on him. This year will be our fifth time competing in the Rolex. Parker skipped around the course last year and while dressage isn’t his favorite day, he has proven to be an extremely special horse with his consistency on cross country day at this level. Our long lasting partnership is very special as many riders may not have given this quirky thoroughbred a chance, But I could see Parker’s strengths and I highlighted those and turned him into the strong four star horse he is now.
The other horse I will be entering is Tivoli! Tivoli and I have had a great career so far with multiple three star wins and already one trip around the cross country at Rolex in 2013. I acquired Tivoli a few years back and it was obvious that Tivoli and I were meant for each other. Tivoli has always been a very nervous horse and although it was a bumpy start, he has turned into a three star winner and a cross country machine.
