Avila Private Collection Bit #12

This bit is a special one in our collection. It is a replica of a bit that was made for my wife back in the late 80's by master craftsman, Mike McDowell. Mike was visiting and Dana asked him to ride a young horse she was getting ready to transition to a "grown-up" bridle and see what he thought. About 2 months later this bit showed up in the mail and it was a perfect fit! it was the only bit that was ever used on that mare that went on to have a very successful show career.
