The first thing I would like to say is what an amazing article this was! It may not have touched other people as much as it touched me because they probably don't have the great privilege of knowing/meeting Jimmie Smith. When I fist started reading this blog post, I automatically began to tear up and started crying for the thought of Jimmie being a little 10 year old girl, and how much she's grown up into such an amazing person in the short amount of time that I've known her. I had the wonderful pleasure of meeting Jimmie three years ago, in 2009, when her and I made it to the Wrangler Junior High Nationals Finals Rodeo. Granted, I haven't known her my whole entire life but I consider her one of my very best friends. She's such a wonderful person and would do anything for anyone, as well as her mom. As I read the remainder of the blog post, I continued to tear up because its such a heart filled story and Mr. Dal couldn't have picked a better person to sponsor.
